The "boss fight" framing is hilarious when really it's just traders paying up for optionality they'll mostly never use. Volatility curves bump midterm all the time and then quietly flatten while everyone's still refreshing their charts waiting for the fireworks.
So is this the market pricing in something specific, or just the usual pre-halving jitters playing out in the options market?
