Tokenized stocks on a centralized exchange. What could go wrong.
Who's actually able to withdraw these back to a real brokerage if things go sideways?
nobody's trying to withdraw to a brokerage lmao, traders are using these for exposure and leverage plays intraday, not long-term custody, wrong use case entirely.
Congrats to Binance I guess, but second place in a niche market nobody's really adopted yet isn't exactly something I'd be crowing about. Wake me up when there's a real flush in this sector, that's when I'll actually care.
Second place feels like it matters until you realize the whole sector is still tiny. I'd want to see this space actually break out to mainstream volume before I get excited about rankings within it.
Daily close holding above xStocks levels or just a one-day spike?
Weekly candle still holding or just a wick into second place?
why would you ever not hold tokenized stocks on chain ser 😭
Uh, because you're trusting a centralized exchange to actually hold the underlying shares, and if Binance goes sideways you're holding a worthless token, not a stock.
The custodian isn't Binance, that's the whole point of how these structures work.
