The regulatory path to a functioning stablecoin is long even after a charter clears, but I'm keeping some dry powder ready if this actually progresses, the upside on legitimate dollar-pegged infrastructure is real.

Nothing says "legitimate dollar-pegged infrastructure" like a stablecoin named after a guy who already has two mugshots on a trading card.

Conditional charter means they can technically say "it's real" while insiders load bags before anything actually clears.
"Conditional" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that headline. A bank charter with strings attached isn't really a charter, it's a press release with extra steps.
