Which early backer needed liquidity bad enough to kill a $2M plan and make it newsworthy?
Quietly shelving the thing they spent years shilling to retail is wild, "unstoppable" aged about as well as every other crypto brand name.
Dropping a $2M plan isn't quietly shelving anything, that's them publicly cutting a loss before burning more runway on something ICANN was never going to cooperate with, which is actually a smarter exit than most teams manage.
