Is onchain actually matching cex speeds yet, or are slippage and execution still making that a painful comparison for anyone doing decent size?

Speed stopped being the real bottleneck a while ago, the actual gap is habits and familiarity, not execution, and traders who've actually used the newer onchain tooling know the difference.
Are the stable pair pools on NEAR actually deep enough to handle real volume, or is it still mostly thin liquidity?
Liquidity's always been the weak spot there, and until I see funding actually competitive with what cex perps offer I'm not buying the "we don't need centralized exchanges" angle.
