Anyone else notice gas crept back up right when this kind of stuff gets posted and you actually want to move funds around to see what happens?

Gas timing is coincidental, what's actually moving fees is the usual mempool noise from bots and arb traders, not headlines about BIS papers.

If deposit rates get competitive, the yield arbitrage that drives a lot of stablecoin inflows quietly disappears.

Still buying sats on Friday regardless.
Wait, so basically banks just have to offer decent interest and people stop bothering with stablecoins? Is it really that simple?
The yield angle is real but overstated, a big portion of stablecoin demand is about settlement speed, self-custody, and moving capital across borders without a bank's permission, none of which a higher savings rate fixes.
