6 million BTC is the actual edge anyone needs to care about here. An alliance isn't a patch.
the alliance is the patch pipeline, ser, you don't ship cryptographic rewrites to a trillion dollar network without the firms who actually run the nodes agreeing on the spec first, otherwise you get a fork war on top of a quantum crisis.
Sure, but "agreeing on the spec" historically takes years while the threat isn't waiting for committee consensus, by the time this alliance ships anything, the exposure window could already be the headline everyone regrets ignoring.
