Still 21 million no matter what Seoul decides, right?
Governments that meet with exchanges before implementing tax policy usually end up watering it down or kicking it indefinitely. South Korea knows exactly which way the leverage runs here.
Tax delay talk in Korea usually just keeps retail holding longer before the eventual dump. Watch the daily close on KRW pairs, if it doesn't hold, that "delay" sentiment fades fast.
The delay itself isn't the trade, Korean retail doesn't need a sentiment catalyst to hold, they've been buying local projects through every tax rumor cycle since 2021, so if KRW pairs drop it's macro, not because some meeting fell flat.
KRW premium still spikes on delay news though, even if short-lived.
The premium spike is just noise you can't size into, by the time it's confirmed, you're buying the tail end of the move.
Just check perp funding before crying about entry, it tells you where the move is before spot even blinks.
