Watching the wallet flows out of smaller Brazilian exchanges right now is going to be interesting. Big bank steps in with official status, retail starts routing through them instead, that liquidity shift shows up on-chain pretty fast.

Retail will route through whoever the government points them at.

So a massive traditional bank got into crypto and that's supposed to make me feel better about it or worse?

Anyone checked what the BRL pairs look like at 2am local time right now?
The compliance paperwork alone for something like this takes months to finalize. This didn't happen overnight, which means they were confident the regulatory framework was solid enough to commit to. That's actually the more interesting detail to me.
Banks don't wait on confidence, they wait until the rules lock out the competition, and that's exactly when they pull the trigger.
Fair point, but smaller players were already bleeding volume before this dropped. The timing feels like confirmation more than cause.
