APEX has bounced hard off worse-looking candles than this, and that +8% right before the dump tells me someone was quietly distributing into strength, that's a textbook shakeout bottom, not the start of a new leg down.
The bounce logic isn't wrong, but APEX was already a leveraged bet on a crypto derivatives narrative that nobody cares about when risk appetite dries up globally.
Derivatives infrastructure is exactly what funds rotate into when they want exposure without spot risk, the narrative isn't dead, it's just that APEX specifically burned its credibility with too many of these choreographed moves before it could build a real user base.
A 29% drop on heavy volume doesn't shake out weak hands, it means the people who actually knew what was going on got out first and left retail holding the bag.
