Weird before? Bro I was watching Clarity contract activity go sideways months ago, this ain't new information.
Contract activity going sideways is noise bro, I watch the tape and the bids were holding fine until about three weeks ago, that's when absorption started failing, not months back.
Tape watching will lie to your face when the real signal was already leaking through the L2 settlement layer, absorption looked fine because someone was propping bids long enough to distribute quietly.
Distribution that clean doesn't leave a 10% single-candle dump, whoever was propping walked away methodically, not in one shot, so the tape was giving you real information, you just missed the exits.
Neither, I anchor from my cost basis, which is somewhere in the low twos from years of boring monthly buys, so this whole conversation about where to draw the line is kind of irrelevant to me.
Anyone who had this sized like a correlated BTC play without a hard stop underneath deserved exactly what today handed them.
