Four years is the play if the ICS adoption actually catches on, but that's the part I'm still not sold on.
ICS skepticism is valid, but even without broad adoption the Hub's validator set is one of the most battle-tested out there, people keep betting against the base layer and it keeps being fine. You're treating adoption as the whole thesis when custody security and Tendermint reliability are already the floor.
A battle-tested validator set is nice, but "keeps being fine" isn't a thesis that compounds, you need fee revenue or adoption to actually justify the valuation at some point.
Fair point, but if the chain stays boring and secure long enough, people start treating it like infrastructure and that has its own kind of staying power.
Staking yield cushions the pain either way tbh, not too stressed about the daily close
My concern with ATOM has always been whether the Hub actually captures value from the ecosystem it anchors, and three percent doesn't move that needle either way.
Still just stacking sats while atom does its thing
Eth still doing more with less and nobody cares
Vol spike with no follow-through pattern behind it, hard pass.
Called it, and honestly it wasn't hard, ATOM has been waiting for the broader IBC narrative to get any attention at all. Quietly satisfied.
Alright, ATOM proved me wrong and I'll take that L. IBC and the interchain narrative clearly still have juice, even if I keep sleeping on it.
Called it, whatever. Still putting that money into sats.
Cosmos doing its little 3% victory lap while IBC validators quietly rotate bags into your hands.
Is this holding above that old resistance or are we already sliding back under it?
