Thin liquidity is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that explanation, if it were just slippage from a shallow book, you wouldn't see this kind of sustained directional pressure, you'd see a spike and snap back.

Saw it coming how, though, the wrapper or the underlying, because those are two different problems.

Unlock timing is one thing but Micron's actual memory chip numbers have been shaky for a while, so this might just be macro catching up to a stock that was priced for a perfect cycle.
