Fair point but it really depends which pair you were sitting in, if you were CAKE/BNB and both legs moved together, the IL was way more manageable than people are assuming.
I've always been a little skeptical of Binance-adjacent projects because when the parent company sneezes, everything they touch tends to catch the cold.
CAKE has actually carved out enough independent liquidity and user base on its own chain that it doesn't just keel over every time Binance has a headline, the correlation people assume is there is way looser than they think.

Bids were stacking on CAKE for a while so it wasn't exactly a surprise, but yeah the entry window was maybe 20 minutes before ask side got lifted hard.

Called the fade on CAKE and it delivered, that 13% pump had no real yield engine behind it, just hype chasing.
Called it before lunch and went back to my cold wallet.
