Siren was doing options liquidity pools if I remember right, so the yield source is more legit than a typical ohm fork, but whether the pools still have decent TVL after all this time is the real question.

TVL is almost beside the point here, options protocols live and die on volatility demand, and if there's nobody actively buying or writing contracts the pools just sit there rotting no matter how "legit" the yield source looks on paper.

Fair point, though if this move attracts fresh writers the demand side solves itself temporarily, the question is whether that sticks past the excitement.

Yeah fresh writers showing up is the hopeful scenario but I've seen that exact cycle play out on like three other options protocols where the writers bail the second vol drops and you're left with empty pools again.
