Margin pressure is real but this looks more like low liquidity amplifying a routine flush than any cascade of forced liquidations, SHIB's order book thins out fast and 4% doesn't take much to manufacture.
The 20% cascades you're remembering happened in a different liquidity environment, current market depth on SHIB, for all its problems, is structurally thicker than 2021-2022, so a 4% flush on high volume is more likely position rotation than the start of a unwind.
